$2800 for uprights $3200 for most grands

Action Regulation
Hammers tightened and refitted to strings, capstan adjustment, all flanges tightened and lubricated as needed, flys and knuckles adjusted, hammer let off, hammer drop dampers regulated, back checks adjusted, repetition springs tensioned.
Your action can easily be adjusted to make the weight of the key touch heavier or lighter, most of all consistent.

$280 for uprights, $360 for grands(includes key leveling).

Hammer Replacement
We usually recommend Able hammers from Germany as they offer the same “old world” quality that you would find in a 1920s piano. We do offer well made Japanese hammers for Yamahas and the like. I'm not sure if domestic hammers are available from anyone other than Steinway today. Renner hammers were very good if you can find them.

$600 to $900 depending on your choice of hammers.

Hammer Reshaping and Voicing.
In order to save some customers the cost of replacing worn hammers on their piano, we offer a reconditioning of the old hammers. This is to make them evenly round again and then softened by voicing them as needed. This job is dependant on a reasonable amount of felt on the existing hammers and requires that the action be removed and taken to the shop

$180 for uprights or grands.

Key Bed Restoration
Do you have chipped or missing key tops on your piano? Perhaps your keys aren't as level as you would like or maybe they are a little loose from too many glissandos.
We can provide everything from individual key repairs to complete key bed restoration

$35 per key to repair broken, lost or chipped ivory.
$380 for a set of new plastic white key tops.
$180 for a set of new plastic black key tops
$110 to refinish black key tops with 4-6 coats of lacquer.
$225 to replace all of the felt key bushings.

Felt key bushings are not always needed as the front bushing posts can often be adjusted to take the “slop” out of the keys.
